I apologize. I segregated the technical website blog and the life blog (what you are reading) in 2006, but I didn't maintain the website blog so I have nowhere to explain the following:
I have a massive problem with this website. On its current configuration, it's very vulnerable to some bad stuff. So I brought everything offline, hoping to merge the website to a new server. The server is online, hosting my game servers. But the webserver has not been merged, so I've had it offline for two months. That's why I haven't updated this in a while.
So as for me, I'm in a moment of equilibrium. I am very, very tormented in my soul. But life has stopped slapping me around. Other than they changed my job to five days a week and I worked two weekends this month because in August, I traded one so I could go kayaking with the A-Team. And that was nice so I guess it's a net win.
I traded my very expensive car for a less, but still expensive EV. I also bought a cheap flight for next year's Japan trip. So I have good prospects for saving money in the coming year. But I've still got to get my nose to the grindstone. So here I will be, grinding and working. Not literally grinding, though. I started wearing a mouthguard to stop grinding since I have a new stress sleeping condition that causes me to clack my front teeth together, causing them to wear down.
I finally get dentist appointments these next two weeks so I look forward to that being handled. Godspeed to me.
